Product Information
NA-Selank is an N-acetylated analog of Selank, a synthetic heptapeptide derived from the endogenous immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin. The parent sequence (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro) pairs the tuftsin fragment (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg) with a Pro-Gly-Pro stabilizing tripeptide; N-terminal acetylation is a further modification associated in laboratory settings with increased peptidase resistance and improved stability relative to unmodified Selank. In published research, Selank and its analogs are used as tool compounds for investigating GABAergic and serotonergic signaling, BDNF expression, and enkephalin-degrading enzyme activity in cell-culture and animal model systems.
